Fall Vista with Pumpkins

8 x 8 Oil on Gessobord

This started out as a beach scene and morphed into a pumpkin painting.  I'm not sure why.  Possibly because the beach scene I had planned on painting was not developing properly and I totally lost interest.  I scrubbed it all off and started again, just going with the flow.  Nothing really to go by; just applying paint to see what developed.  Big surprise to me...I like it!  I left it as is, almost afraid to touch it again since my batting average wasn't the best for the day.  Happy Pumpkin Time, Everyone!

Pumpkin Heaven

9 x 12 Oil on Artist Canvas

Better to paint a lot of pumpkins than just one.  My theory, at least!  I was tempted to put a face on a few, but decided against it.  I really love this time of year, but miss the cold, crisp days up North.  We'll get them, but they just don't last long enough.

Halloween at the General Store

SOLD

This painting was my ode to The General Store here at Smith Mountain Lake.  The owners have been so wonderful and supportive of my artwork.  If you want to see a wide selection of my work, that's the place to go!  They have originals, Giclee prints, regular prints, and cards.  If you can't make it to the store, they have a website that has a lot of my work, http://www.generalstoresml.com/.  The store has a great selection of quilting materials and gift ideas as well.
