9 x 6 Oil on Archival Board
I generally paint from my photographs, but every now and then my relatives or friends take a picture they think I would be interested in painting. Even using photos, I have to feel that I can give the subject some life...some movement, or I feel my painting has failed. That goes for landscapes as well as figurative work, at least for me. This Italian woman caught my cousin's eye and she thought of me. How lucky I feel to have people on the look out for quirky characters and places for me :-)
