This is the first in my series of paintings based on my recent visit to the National Gallery in Washington DC. What an awe-inspiring visit! To be in a room face to face with an original masterpiece is so wonderfully inspiring, and humbling :-) This young woman was enthralled with Amedeo Modigliani's 'Nude on a Blue Cushion.'
